Syllabus

The trial court did not abuse its discretion by not taking judicial notice of a guardian ad litem's report that was never supplied to the trial court nor was it included in the record on appeal. The trial court did not abuse its discretion by granting the respondent-appellee's petition to hyphenate the minor child's name. Competent, credible evidence supported the trial court's judgment, and it is not against the manifest weight of the evidence. The trial court did not err in denying petitioner-appellant's motion for directed verdict, and the trial court's denial of that motion is supported by competent, credible evidence and consequently, not against the manifest weight of the evidence.
