Syllabus

The juvenile court did not abuse its discretion by balancing the best interest factors as it did and awarding legal custody to the foster family. The record firmly establishes that A.W. is in a safe and stable home and has thrived in his placement with his foster family. Meanwhile, Father is practically a stranger yet believes he should be granted custody and blames the agency or the GAL for conditions that he, himself, could have rectified. In addition, the juvenile court did not err by not granting him a specific visitation schedule. Although Father is entitled to residual parenting rights, which includes reasonable visitation, the court does not require the parenting time order be specific.
