Syllabus

The trial court did not abuse its discretion by denying paternal grandfather's motion to intervene under Civ.R. 24(B)(2). Grandfather's failure to comply with Civ.R. 24(C) was sufficient grounds to deny his motion. Grandfather also lacks legal rights that he could protect by intervening in the adoption proceedings because (1) he is not seeking to adopt the child and (2) a juvenile court order granting him visitation with the child is not binding on the probate court in an adoption case.
