Syllabus

The probate court did not abuse its discretion when it denied Stepmother's petition to adopt her stepson. Mother provided the court with material evidence relating to the best interest of her son. Further, Mother established that the least detrimental available alternative for her son was to have an opportunity to renew his relationship with Mother, which would be foreclosed if her parental rights were terminated through an adoption. The probate court considered all of the best interest factors set forth in R.C. 3107.161(B). Judgment affirmed.
