<p>CONTRACTS — MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS — PATENTS.</p> <p>Haynes, Parker and Wildman, JJ.</p> <p>Municipality may Contract for Patented Articles, notwithstanding Statutory Requirements as to Competitive Bidding.</p> <p>Competitive bidding is not necessarily narrowed, but may be broadened,, by admission to the competition of material which monopolized by reason of patents; and in the exercise of a sound discretion it is competent for the proper city authorities, in advertising for bids for a street improvement, to call for material which is covered, or the assembling of which is covered, by patents.</p> <p>[Syllabus approved by the court.]</p>
