Syllabus

<p>Indorsees.—In a' suit by an indorsee against the makers and indorsers of promissory notes, the latter pleaded that they were accommodation indorsers, under an agreement by plaintiff to pay or protect the notes out of funds due and to become due to the makers from a society, of which plaintiff was treasurer, and for which the makers were doing work under a contract. Meld, that the defense was good, but that there was no evidence to sustain it.</p>
