<p>Corporation—Lease by President—Authority to Make Contracts__ Where the board of directors of a corporation has authorized its president to make and sign contracts in its name, and to do a general business for it, he is empowered to lease premises for the use of the corporation, and may bind it for rent under the provisions of the lease.</p> <p>Id.—Ratification of Lease—Estoppel.—Where the president of the corporation in taking a lease of premises for its benefit presented to the owner of the premises a certified copy of the resolution of the board of directors, ratifying and confirming his acts in making the lease, his act in furnishing such resolution was the corporation’s act, and it is estopped from denying the ratification of the lease, although no such resolution appears upon its minutes.</p>
