Syllabus

<p>A railroad company under a right given in its charter to “let or farm out all or any of their exclusive right of transportation of persons, merchandise, and produce, with their privileges,” leased its road to another company. Held, that the lessor did not, by leasing its road, relieve itself from its obligations to the public, and that it was liable for cattle negligently killed by a train of cars operated by the lessee.</p>
