The defendant, Brian Walls (defendant or Mr. Walls), challenged an order of the Superior Court granting a motion for a preliminary injunction in favor of his former employer, the plaintiff, Griggs & Browne Pest Control Co., Inc. (plaintiff). Mr. Walls argued that the trial justice erred in enforcing a noncompetition agreement between the parties because, he contended, the plaintiff improperly modified the terms of his employment contract, and also sought review of his trial counsel's representation below.<br><br>The Supreme Court determined that the trial justice did not abuse her discretion in granting the plaintiff's motion for a preliminary injunction and affirmed the order of the Superior Court. <br><br><br>
