<p>Decedent's estate—Widow's exemption—Desertion by husband—Foreign widow—Act of April 14, 1851.</p> <p>Where a husband leaves his wife in a foreign country with the understanding that she is to follow him when he shall have made a home for her in this country, and he subsequently settles in Pennsylvania, but does not inform his wife of his whereabouts, and afterwards bigamously marries another woman, and then dies, the first wife is entitled to the widow’s exemption out of his estate, if it appears that she was always willing to join her husband, and would have done so if she had not been kept in ignorance of his whereabouts.
