<p>Pish — Licenses—Locations—-Abandonment — Pishing Season— Statutes — -Construction. Under the general act, applying to all the waters of the state, providing that a salmon fishing license for one year from April 1 shall be deemed abandoned if, during the “fishing season” covered by the license, the locator fails to construct his appliances, the term “fishing season” applies only to waters where there is a regular fishing season, as on the Columbia river, and locations in Puget Sound are not abandoned upon failure to construct appliances during the summer and fall runs, since salmon abound in Puget Sound at all times of the year, and there is no distinct fishing season within the meaning of the act; and an involuntary abandonment could not be worked during the life of the license.
