Syllabus
<p>1. Appeal — Review—Verdict—Judgment.</p> <p>The verdict' of the jury will be set aside when clearly contrary to the evidence, and the Supreme Court will, in the exercise of its appellate jurisdiction over the law and the facts, render a final judgment on the merits of the cause.</p> <p>2. Master and Servant — Injury to Servant —Defective Appliances.</p> <p>The employer is under a legal obligation to furnish safe appliances to his workmen, and by proper inspection and repair to keep them in safe condition.</p> <p>(Syllabus by the Court.)</p>
