Syllabus
<p>1. Limitation—color of tifie. A deed purporting to convey tbe title to land is color of title under tbe 9th section of the Limitation Act of 1839.</p> <p>2. Samb—taxes may be paid by agent. Taxes on vacant and unoccupied land may be paid by tbe agent of the person bolding color of title under tbe Limitation Act of 1839.</p> <p>3. Samb—occupation by squatter. Tbe possession of land by a squatter having no daim or color of title will be confined to the part actually inclosed by him, as against one setting up a bar under the Limitation Act of 1839 by tbe payment of taxes for seven successive years.</p> <p>4. Costs — appoHionment in ejectment. Under tbe statute relating to costs, where the plaintiff in ejectment recovers only a part of the lands sued for, the court is authorized to apportion tbe costs between the parties.</p>
