<p>SYLLABUS BY THE COURT.</p> <p>Oeeice and Oeeicers—Appointment of Judge of the Twenty-ninth Judicial District Held Val\\d. The adoption of the biennial-election amendment to the constitution in the year 1902 did not repeal the biennial-election law of 1901 (Laws 1901, ch. 176), dispensing with the election of judges of the district court in the year 1903, and an appointment under that law of a judge for the twenty-ninth judicial district, to hold office from January, 1904, k> January, 1905, is valid.</p> <p>2. - Case Followed. The case of Griffith v. Manning, 67 Kan. 559, 73 Pac. 75, approved and followed.</p>
