Notice.</p> <p>Where the maker gave his note to a bank of which he was a director and the bank assigned the note to a third party and the director when making a payment upon the note to the cashier was told that it was not in the bank, he could not claim that he made the payment to his bank without notice of the assignment, since being put upon inquiry and able to ascertain 'the true facts he was chargeable with notice that his note had been assigned.</p>
