Syllabus

<p>1. Discharge in bankruptcy—Lien.—A discharge in bankruptcy does not release a lien created prior to the proceedings in bankruptcy.</p> <p>3. Cases overruled.—(Taylor v. Bonner, 38 Tex., 531; Johnson v. Pogue, 39 Tex., 92.)</p> <p>2. Jurisdiction.—The State courts have jurisdiction after a bankrupt’s discharge to enforce a vendor’s lien upon land sold by the bankrupt before the proceedings in bankruptcy began, and against a purchaser with notice.</p>
