Code 1892, § 2462, not retroacUve.</p> <p>Section 2462, code 1892, providing that a renewal or extension of a debt secured by mortgage, or other lien, that appears on the face of the record to be barred by the statute of limitations, shall have no effect as to creditors and subsequent purchasers for a valuable consideration without notice, unless noted on the margin of the record, has no application to renewals or extensions made before the code went into effect.
