Syllabus

<p>Mortgage — Satisfaction—Payment-—Tender—Equity.</p> <p>A bill'in equity to compel the satisfaction of a mortgage, and to restrain proceedings thereon will be dismissed, if the pleadings and proofs leave the question of payment in substantial doubt. To sustain such a bill the evidence of payment must be clear and precise ; if it is not, the parties will be left to their remedy at law.</p>
