Syllabus

<p>Bills of Exception — Question and Answer — Cross-Examination.</p> <p>Where the bill of exceptions fails to set forth the purport of the answer' made by a witness to the question excepted to, the judgment will not be reversed, although it may have been error in the Court below to allow such question to be asked, because the Court of Appeals cannot see from the record that the appellant was injured thereby.</p> <p>Where a question would be proper on cross-examination, provided there was any testimony in chief on which to base it, the refusal of the trial Court to allow a witness to be asked the question will not be considered error when the record does not disclose the existence of such testimony.</p>
