<p>Mechanic’s lien — Completion of work — Six mpnths’ limitation.</p> <p>'' In the distribution of a fund raised by an orphans’ court sale of real estate, a mechanic’s lien will not be given priority over a judgment, by evidence outside of the claim itself, that the last work for which the lien was filed, was done on a day within six months from the date of the filing of the claim. Such a statement must be embodied in the claim as filed, and if it does not appear there, the orphans’ court has no power to give validity to the lien, by amendment of the claim.</p> <p>A mechanic’s lien is purely statutory, and a compliance with statutory requirements is necessary in order to give it validity.</p>
