Syllabus

Magistrate dismissed plaintiff's action, stating that the matter had already been addressed in a prior case. A week later, the trial court adopted the magistrate's decision and dismissed the action. Eight days later (15 days after the magistrate's decision was filed), both the magistrate's decision and the trial court's judgment were served on the parties. Plaintiff's subsequent objections to the magistrate's decision were untimely and were tantamount to a motion for reconsideration, which is a nullity. The trial court's judgment overruling those objections as untimely was also a nullity. Plaintiff's appeal from the trial court's second judgment overruling the untimely objections is dismissed.
