<p>Patents (§ 328*)—Tat.idity and Infringement—Process oe Making Lump Starch.</p> <p>The Molíatt patent, No. 541,941, for a process of forming starch into coherent masses by subjecting starch containing not more than 30 per cent, nor less than 16 j>er cent, of water to a temperature in excess of 100 degrees F. and less than 160 degrees IT. conjointly with pressure is limited with respect to heat to the maximum of 100 degrees stated, which is shown by the specification and proceedings in the Patent Office to be an essential and important element in the process. As so construed the patent is not infringed by the process of the Gademan patent, No. 789,127.</p>
