<p>SYLLABUS BY THE COURT.</p> <p>Employer and Employee—Right to Discharge Employee—A ct of 1897 Void. A statute which makes it unlawful to discharge an employee because he belongs to a lawful labor organization and provides for the recovery of damages for such discharge is void. The right to terminate a contract is within the protection of the state and federal constitutions, which guarantee to every citizen the protection of life, liberty, and property.</p>
