Syllabus
Appeal mootness; direct contempt; indirect contempt; R.C. 2705.01; R.C. 2705.03. The reviewing court determined that even though appellant had served his entire jail sentence, the appeal was not moot because the sentence was not served voluntarily since the appellant filed a motion to stay the execution of the sentence with the trial court. The reviewing court reversed the appellant's convictions for indirect contempt, in violation of R.C. 2705.02 because the trial court failed to adhere to the procedures set forth in R.C. 2705.03.
