<p>1., The stay laws passed in Texas during the war, if ever valid, were abro gated by Provisional Governor Hamilton’s proclamation of: the eighth of September, 1865.</p> <p>2. Ordinance No. 11 of the Constitutional Convention of 1866 declared Governor Hamilton's proclamation to be valid.</p>
