Syllabus
<p>EXPROPRIATION—VALUE OF PROPERTY—EVIDENCE.</p> <p>1. In an expropriation suit the value of the property sought to be expropriated may be inferred from the price at which neighboring property has been selling, but this price cannot be proved by the recitals of the instruments evidencing such sales of neighboring property; these recitals being nothing more than the unsworn statements of third persons.</p> <p>2. On the question of value in an expropriation suit much weight is attached to the verdict of the jury.</p> <p>(Syllabus by the Court.)</p>
