Married Women — Construction of Statutes — Revised Statutes, 2167 — Evidence.—The burden of showing that a contract comes under the exceptions mentioned in the Proviso to the married woman’s act of 1891 (Rev. Stat., 2167) is on her.</p> <p>2. Ibid. — Mortgages.—The evidence here shows that the mortgage was executed to secure a debt for the erection of a house on the separate property of the wife, and it is liable for it.</p>
