Syllabus

<p>1. A natural gas company, organized under the act of May 29, 1885, P. L. 29, is not liable for injuries resulting from the negligence of an independent contractor occurring before the acceptance of the work with notice of the defect.</p> <p>2. And this, notwithstanding the second proviso of § 10 of said act, providing: “That any company laying a pipe line under the provisions hereof shall be liable for all damages occasioned by reason of the negligence of such gas company.”</p>
