Syllabus

<p>1. Conflict of laws—of the right and the remedy—oy what law governed. The law of the place where a contract is made will control in ascertaining the rights and liabilities of the parties, but no further. When these are ascertained, the law of the place where its enforcement is sought will govern as to the remedy.</p> <p>2. Where, by the law of another State, the liability of a party to a contract, executed in that State, is of an equitable character, it can be enforced in this State only in a court of equit)r, although, by the laws of the State where it was executed, it could be enforced in a court of law.</p>
