Syllabus

Assault Use of Force- The court granted summary judgment to defendant. Plaintiff had a history of fleeing, had consumed alcohol and therefore constituted a danger to himself and others, and fled from the officer during the traffic stop. Therefore, the court found the officer's use of a taser, after which plaintiff received medical attention, to be both reasonable and necessary under the circumstances.
