<p>1. Courts (§ 224*) — Supreme Court — Jurisdiction — Matter in Dispute.</p> <p>The Supreme Court’s jurisdiction, when based on the “matter in dispute,” is measured by the amount of money or the lulue of the thing demanded in plaintiff’s petition, and when the same is less than $2,000, exclusive of interest, the court is without jurisdiction ratione materise.</p> <p>[Ed. Courts (§ 224*) — Appellate Jurisdiction.</p> <p>Appeals on reconventional demands lie to the court having jurisdiction of the main demand. Const. 1898, art. 95.</p> <p>[Ed.
