Syllabus
<p>Executor and Administrator. Instrument assuming debt of servant not invalid for want of consideration.</p> <p>A decedent has a perfect right to direct the disposition of his estate, and a written assumption of a debt of a servant in consideration of faithful service rendered and “other valuable consideration” supported by affidavit of correctness on filing the instrument as a claim against the estate of the promisor cannot be defeated on the ground of want of consideration.</p>
