Code 1892, 1610, 280.</p> <p>In a contest as to the genuineness of the signatures attached to a petition for a local option election, the hoard of supervisors has no right, because its regular meeting is about to expire, to impose conditions upon the reception of competent evidence on the subject, since it has full power under $ 280, code 1892, to adjourn to some subsequent day for the prosecution of the investigation.</p>
