<p>SCHOOLS — BUILDINGS—VOTIN& TAX — PETITION.</p> <p>1. Where an election for voting a tax is to be held in pursuance of the provisions of article 232 of the Constitution and Act No. 131, p. 200, of 1898, the petition of the taxpayers must, under pain of the nullity of the proceedings, state the amount proposed to be realized each year from the tax. It will not suffice that the petition specifies the rate of the proposed tax.</p> <p>Breaux, C. J., and Land, J., dissenting.</p> <p>(Syllabus by the Court.)</p>
