<p>Deed — Life estate — Habendum.</p> <p>Where a deed conveys land to a husband and wife, but the habendum states that the land is to be held by the grantees, their heirs and assigns, to and for the only proper use and behoof of the husband during the term of his natural life, with the remainder to his wife, her heirs and assigns forever, the husband takes only a life estate in the land.</p>
