Syllabus

<p>Principal and Agent.</p> <p>Where R, under authority of a general power of attorney, executed a lease of a lot of land owned by B, his principal, the lease being in the individual name of R and the lessee not.having knowledge that R was not the owner of the property or that he was acting for a person other than himself: Held, that the lease was binding upon B, the principal.</p> <p>Same.</p> <p>The contract of the agent is the contract of the principal and he may sue or be sued thereon though not named therein.</p>
