Syllabus

<p>Promissory Notes. Construction. Stipulation for attorney’s fees.</p> <p>The maker of a promissory note, containing a promise to pay a ten per centum attorney’s fee should the note after maturity and before payment be placed in the hands of an attorney for collection, is bound thereby when the note is so placed and the payee has become liable to the attorney for fees, although suit was not brought on the note.</p>
