Syllabus

<p>Chaucbbt—securing a grantor in the possession of land until his deed talces effect. Upon a bill to enjoin the defendant from taking possession of land under a deed executed by direction of the equitable owner of the land, on the ground that it was never delivered, and to set the same aside as a cloud upon complainant’s title, and for general relief, if it appears that the deed was delivered to take effect upon the death of the complainant, and that he was to retain possession of the land during his lifetime, the bill should not be dismissed, but the complainant should be protected in the possession of the land during his lifetime, and the defendant enjoined from ousting him or disturbing him in the possession.</p>
