Syllabus

<p>1. To be relieved from liability for injuries received by a servant from the use of defective materials, the master is not required to supply the best materials known, or to subject such as he does supply to an analysis to determine what hazard may be incurréd in their use.</p> <p>2. For injuries thus suffered by a servant when engaged in a work and in a place not in any sense dangerous, the materials being those for a long time in common use for the purpose to which they were applied and the work done under the direction of a competent superior, the master is not liable.</p>
