Syllabus

Where a petition for a writ of habeas corpus fails to allege an unlawful restraint of liberty, it fails to state a claim for which relief may be granted. Also, a court of appeals has original jurisdiction to hear only those types of cases enumerated in Article IV, Section 3 of the Ohio Constitution, and an action filed in the court of appeals that includes other types of claims must be dismissed on subject-matter jurisdiction grounds.
