Syllabus
<p>State Revenue A&ent. Compensation. Code 1893, fj 4199; Laws 1894, p. 39.</p> <p>The state revenue agent is entitled, under the statutes, code 1893, § 4199, and laws of 1894, page 39, to the compensation therein provided, where he makes investigation of a defaulting tax collector’s accounts, and the money is afterwards paid over to him, or to some other officer entitled to receive it, whether or not suit is brought by him; and this is true, though the defalcation is evidenced by correct accounts on the official records kept by the defaulter.</p>
