DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY

Federal Energy Regulatory Commission

[Project Nos. 2722-023 & 15373-000]

PacifiCorp; Notice of Availability of Environmental Assessment

In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969
and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (Commission or FERC)
regulations, 18 CFR part 380, Commission staff reviewed PacifiCorp's,
application seeking an exemption from the licensing requirements of
Part 1 of the Federal Power Act for the Pioneer Project No. 15373, and
an administrative surrender of the license for the Pioneer Project No.
2722, and have prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the
projects.\1\ The project is located along the Ogden Canyon Conduit,
near Ogden, in Weber County, Utah, and occupies federal lands within
the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest managed by the U.S. Forest
Service.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

\1\ The unique identification number for documents relating to
this environmental review is EAXX-019-20-000-1784124356.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The EA contains Commission staff's analysis of the potential
environmental effects of the proposed surrender and issuance of an
exemption, alternatives to the proposed action, and concludes that the
proposed surrender and issuance of an exemption would not constitute a
major federal action that would significantly affect the quality of the
human environment.
The EA may be viewed on the Commission's website at http://www.ferc.gov using the ``eLibrary'' link. Enter the docket number (P-
