A. Overview of Information Collection
Title of Information Collection: Data Collection for HUD's
Innovative Housing Showcase
OMB Approval Number: 2528-0346.
Type of Request: Revision.
Form Number: N/A.
Description of the need for the information and proposed use: The
Innovative Housing Showcase (IHS) is a public event to raise awareness
of new, innovative housing technologies, especially offsite constructed
or factory-built housing. HUD is seeking potential exhibitors who have
developed innovative housing technologies to show their technologies to
the public.
HUD seeks to collect information to identify exhibitors for the
Innovative Housing Showcase (Showcase) and obtain information from
exhibitors after the Showcase. Exhibitors provide key information about
their products, allowing HUD to review and make informed decisions on
this innovation to accept. The application form streamlines information
collection by focusing on information required to vet the specific
product that will be exhibited. The changes are a revision per the
addition of a post-exhibit questionnaire. This new questionnaire
solicits information from exhibitors on how to improve future showcases
and how HUD can make the event more valuable for their company. It will
not collect sensitive or proprietary information.
Respondents: Product manufacturers, innovators, and construction
industry stakeholders.
Estimated Number of Respondents: 100.
Estimated Number of Responses: 160 (100 applicants and 60 responses
are exhibitors who complete the exit interview after the end of the
Showcase).
Frequency of Response: 2.
Average Hours per Response: 3 hours for application and .5 hours
for the exit interview.
Total Estimated Burdens: The cost to respondents to complete an
application is estimated at the marketing manager's median hourly wage
rate ($79.70) for 3 hours of work. The total estimated cost is $26,301
($23,910 + $2,391).
