South Atlantic Fishery Management Council--Public Meetings
AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.
ACTION: Notice of a public meeting.

SUMMARY: The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (Council) will
host a meeting of the Wreckfish Advisory Panel (AP) on November 4
through November 6, 2026.
DATES: The meeting will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. EDT on
November 4 and November 5 and from 8:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. on November
6, 2026.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Wreckfish AP will receive an update on
the Council's resilient fisheries project using adaptive implementable
management to develop a stakeholder driven management strategy for the
wreckfish fishery. The AP will work with project developers to develop
management recommendations that are robust to future uncertainly using
decision support tools that explore various management measures and
harvest control rules. The AP will also review a draft of the second
subsequent Wreckfish Individual Transferable Quota Program Review and
provide input on conclusions and recommendations.
