Abstract: The VA Work Study program allows Veterans and other VA
beneficiaries who are enrolled at least \3/4\ time (75% Rate of
Pursuit) in school to earn pay by working part-time jobs related to VA
services. These jobs are available at locations such as colleges and
training facilities, VA Regional Offices, VA cemeteries, and other
allowed sites. Each work site wishing to be considered for approval
must submit a request for approval. Required information to determine
suitability as a work site includes items such as the location of the
work site, the type of facility, designation of Primary and Secondary
Work Site Supervisors, and confirmation that Human Resources is aware
of VA Work Study program participation.
VA Form 22-10219, Department of Veterans Affairs Work Study Site
Application, will capture this information in an efficient manner when
a work site initially applies for VA approval. Historically, the VA
Work Study Team has provided a locally produced template to capture
this information. A digital process will

reduce administrative delays, facilitate faster communication between
schools and VA, and streamline record-keeping. Additionally, an
official form is required to lay the groundwork for future automation
of the application process.
Affected Public: Individuals, households and educational
Institutions.
Estimated Annual Burden: 292 hours.
Estimated Average Burden per Respondent: 10 minutes.
Frequency of Response: Annually, or as needed.
Estimated Number of Respondents: 1,750.
