Abstract
The Department of Energy (DOE) is developing an information collection request to the OMB for extension under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The information collection requests a three-year approval of its collection, titled BPA Generic Benchmarking Surveys, OMB Control Number 1910-NEW. The proposed collection will be a retrospective analysis of existing construction and design standards in power transmission through comparison with standards in use by comparable entities.

AGENCY: U.S. Department of Energy.
ACTION: Notice of request for comments.

SUMMARY: The Department of Energy (DOE) is developing an information
collection request to the OMB for extension under the provisions of the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The information collection requests a
three-year approval of its collection, titled BPA Generic Benchmarking
Surveys, OMB Control Number 1910-NEW. The proposed collection will be a
retrospective analysis of existing construction and design standards in
power transmission through comparison

with standards in use by comparable entities.
DATES: Comments regarding this collection must be received on or before
October 13, 2026. If you anticipate that you will be submitting
comments but find it difficult to do so within the period allowed by
this notice, please advise the OMB Desk Officer of your intention to
make a submission as soon as possible. The Desk Officer may be
telephoned at (202) 881-9493.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This information collection request
contains:
(1) OMB No.: 1910-NEW;
(2) Information Collection Request Title: BPA Generic Benchmarking
Surveys;
(3) Type of Request: New;
(4) Purpose: this information collection would allow for BPA to
survey the standards in use throughout our industry to ensure that our
standards are consistent with others and learning from industry,
respondents would be engineers, logisticians, and others within
stakeholder organizations such as the North American Transmission
Forum;
(5) Annual Estimated Number of Respondents: 300;
(6) Annual Estimated Number of Total Responses: 300;
(7) Annual Estimated Number of Burden Hours: 300;
(8) Annual Estimated Reporting and Recordkeeping Cost Burden:
$19,572.
Statutory Authority: 16 U.S.C. 832a(c).
