AGENCY: Department of the Air Force, Department of Defense.
ACTION: Notice of Intent.

SUMMARY: The Department of the Air Force is publishing this Notice to
identify Federal real property that it intends to exchange land with
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) property in furtherance
of a federally funded research and development center operated by MIT
at Hanscom AFB, MA.
DATES: Written objections must be filed no later than fifteen (15)
calendar days after the date of publication of this Notice.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Air Force will agree to convey 1.04
acres in fee with a nominal value ($0) to The Massachusetts Institute
of Technology, a not for profit corporation created under the laws of
the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Recipient, in exchange for 1.04
acres in fee, also with a nominal value ($0). The Government is
entering into this Agreement pursuant to the authority contained in
Title 10, United States Code, Section 2869(d)(2), Exchange of Property
at Military Installations.
On 8 September 2026, the Department of the Air Force notified the
appropriate Congressional committees of the terms and conditions of the
proposed exchange pursuant to Title 10, United States Code, Section
2869(d)(2).
