Information Collection Requests

AGENCY: Departmental Offices, U.S. Department of the Treasury.

ACTION: Notice of information collection; request for comment.

SUMMARY: The Department of the Treasury will submit the following 
information collection requests to the Office of Management and Budget 
(OMB) for review and clearance in accordance with the Paperwork 
Reduction Act of 1995, on or after the date of publication of this 
notice. The public is invited to submit comments on these requests.

DATES: Comments should be received on or before October 1, 2026 to be 
assured of consideration.

ADDRESSES: Written comments and recommendations for the proposed 
information collection should be sent within 30 days of publication of 
this notice to <a href="http://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/PRAMain">www.reginfo.gov/public/do/PRAMain</a>. Find this particular 
information collection by selecting ``Currently under 30-day Review--
Open for Public Comments'' or by using the search function.

Bureau of the Fiscal Service (BFS)

    1. Title: Application by Survivors for Payment of Bond or Check 
Issued Under Armed Forces Leave Act of 1946.
    OMB Control Number: 1530-0038.
    Type of Request: Extension of a currently approved collection.
    Description: The information is requested to support payment of an 
Armed Forces Leave Bond or check issued under Section 6 of the Armed 
Forces Leave Act of 1946, as amended, where the owner died without 
assigning the bond to the Administrator of Veterans Affairs prior to 
payment, or without presenting the check for payment.
    Forms: FS Form 2066.
    Affected Public: Individuals or Households.
    Estimated Number of Respondents: 100.
    Frequency of Response: On occasion.
    Estimated Time per Response: 30 minutes.
    Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours: 50 hours.
    2. Title: Request to Reissue U.S. Savings Bonds to a Personal 
Trust.
    OMB Control Number: 1530-0036.
    Type of Request: Extension of a currently approved collection.
    Description: The information is necessary to support a request for 
reissue of savings bonds in the name of the trustee of a personal trust 
estate.
    Forms: FS Form 1851.
    Affected Public: Individuals or Households.
    Estimated Number of Respondents: 10,600.
    Frequency of Response: On occasion.
    Estimated Time per Response: 15 minutes.
    Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours: 2,650 hours.
    Authority: 44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.
