[Project No. 8615-049]
Fiske Hydro, Inc.; Notice of Availability of Environmental
Assessment
In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969
and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (Commission or FERC)
regulations, 18 CFR part 380, Commission staff reviewed Fiske Hydro,
Inc.'s application for surrender of license for the Fiske Mill
Hydroelectric Project No. 8615 and have prepared an Environmental
Assessment (EA) for the project.\1\ The licensee proposes to surrender
its license and decommission the project. The project is located on the
Ashuelot River in Hinsdale, Cheshire County, New Hampshire. The project
is not located on federal lands.

environmental effects of the proposed surrender, alternatives to the

constitute a major federal action that would significantly affect the
quality of the human environment.
