SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
Title of Collection: Consumer Response Company Response Survey.
    OMB Control Number: 3170-0069.
Type of Review: Extension without change of a currently approved
collection.
    Affected Public: Individuals or households.
    Estimated Number of Respondents: 66,700.
Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours: 4,669.
Abstract: The Bureau will use this information collection to garner
consumer feedback through an optional survey at the end of the consumer
complaint process. Through the existing survey, consumers have the
option to provide feedback on the company's response to and handling of
their complaint. The results of this feedback are shared with the
company that responded to the complaint to inform its complaint
handling. The Bureau also uses this feedback as one of several inputs
to inform its work to assess the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
of company responses to consumer complaints.
This information collection asks three questions about the
company's response to and handling of any complaint and requires a
narrative description in support of any provided answers. Positive
feedback about the company's handling of the consumer's complaint would
be reflected by affirmative answers to each question and by the
narrative in support of each answer. The Company Response Survey allows
consumers to offer both positive and negative feedback on their
complaint experience.
Request for Comments: The Bureau published a 60-day Federal
Register notice on March 9, 2023, (88 FR 14610) under Docket Number:
CFPB-2023-0019. The Bureau is publishing this notice and soliciting
comments on: (a) Whether the collection of information is necessary for
the proper performance of the functions of the Bureau, including
whether the information will have practical utility; (b) The accuracy
of the Bureau's estimate of the burden of the collection of
information, including the validity of the methods and the assumptions
used; (c) Ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the
information to be collected; and (d) Ways to minimize the burden of the
collection of information on respondents, including through the use of
automated collection techniques or other forms of information
technology. Comments submitted in response to this notice will be
reviewed by OMB as part of its review of this request. All comments
will become a matter of public record.

Anthony May,
Paperwork Reduction Act Officer, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
